Job Description

Welcome to Brunswick Corporation, the leader in recreational boating and marine engines. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supplier Quality Manager to join our Mercury Marine division. As a Supplier Quality Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the components and materials that go into our world-renowned Mercury Marine products. This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires a strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with suppliers and internal teams. If you are passionate about quality assurance and have a strong background in supplier management, we would love to have you on our team.

  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality components and materials.
  2. Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their quality management systems and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality standards and processes for all suppliers.
  4. Monitor and analyze supplier performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  5. Develop and maintain a supplier scorecard to track and report on supplier quality metrics.
  6. Investigate and resolve any quality issues or non-conformances with suppliers, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  7. Provide guidance and support to suppliers in implementing quality improvements and resolving quality-related issues.
  8. Conduct regular on-site visits to supplier facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards and processes.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in supplier quality management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  10. Communicate effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and senior management to provide updates on supplier quality performance and initiatives.
  11. Develop and maintain training programs for suppliers to ensure understanding and adherence to quality standards.
  12. Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain teams to identify and onboard new suppliers, ensuring they meet quality requirements.
  13. Monitor and enforce compliance with supplier contracts and agreements related to quality and delivery.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures related to supplier quality management.
  15. Participate in new product development and launch activities, providing input on supplier quality requirements and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality components and materials.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Supplier Quality Management, Preferably In The Marine Industry.

  • Extensive Knowledge And Understanding Of Quality Control Processes And Methodologies.

  • Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Suppliers.

  • Experience In Conducting Supplier Audits And Implementing Corrective Action Plans.
