Job Description

At Brunswick, we are looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. This person will have a passion for safety and a commitment to excellence, and will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive safety and environmental program to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of safety and environmental experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. A Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science or a related field is also preferred.The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to think and act proactively. They will also be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. This person must also be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Most importantly, they must have a commitment to safety and a passion for making a difference.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive safety and environmental program in accordance with applicable regulations.
  2. Monitor and enforce safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  3. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  4. Investigate accidents and incidents and recommend corrective action.
  5. Educate and train employees on safety and environmental issues.
  6. Develop and manage safety programs such as hazard communication, ergonomics, and lockout/tagout.
  7. Maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports and corrective action plans.
  8. Work with management to ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations.
  9. Maintain awareness of current safety and environmental trends and best practices.
  10. Manage emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
  11. Liaise with regulatory agencies on safety and environmental matters.
