
Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator
At Brunswick, we are looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. This person will have a passion for safety and a commitment to excellence, and will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive safety and environmental program to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of safety and environmental experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. A Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science or a related field is also preferred.The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to think and act proactively. They will also be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. This person must also be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Most importantly, they must have a commitment to safety and a passion for making a difference.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive safety and environmental program in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Monitor and enforce safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate accidents and incidents and recommend corrective action.
- Educate and train employees on safety and environmental issues.
- Develop and manage safety programs such as hazard communication, ergonomics, and lockout/tagout.
- Maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports and corrective action plans.
- Work with management to ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations.
- Maintain awareness of current safety and environmental trends and best practices.
- Manage emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies on safety and environmental matters.
