Job Description

Function as an individual contributor during all project phases, including silicon photonics device design, simulation, layout, and test as well as system-level verification of Silicon Photonics-based data communication products. Work with design and layout engineers to develop integrated photonic circuits. Run a variety of simulation tools, including Cadence Virtuoso design environment. Work with process engineers to define and optimize the device structures and processes. Work closely with test-engineering teams and or directly perform characterization of high-speed devices in the lab. Work with validation and quality engineers to create test and qualification plans. Work closely with photonic IC, packaging, and system architects to validate device performance.

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related experience.

  • Deep understanding of high-speed RF modeling and parametric extraction.

  • Experience with Ansys HFSS is desired.

  • Experience in developing high-speed Silicon Photonics-based active and passive optical devices.

  • Experience with device correlation methods between wafer, die, and sub-system level integration.
