  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions for improving application performance.
  4. Develop and implement performance testing strategies to ensure optimal performance of mainframe applications.
  5. Utilize various tools and techniques to monitor, analyze, and report on application performance metrics.
  6. Communicate and present performance findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  7. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mainframe technology and performance optimization techniques.
  8. Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge of mainframe performance.
  9. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the overall performance and efficiency of mainframe applications.
  10. Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and delivering results within tight deadlines.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience With Mainframe Applications: A Distinguished Engineer At Broadcom Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Mainframe Applications And Their Performance. This Includes A Strong Knowledge Of Programming Languages, Such As Cobol, Pl/I, And Assembler, As Well As Mainframe Operating Systems Like Z/Os.

  • Proven Track Record In Performance Optimization: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Optimizing And Improving The Performance Of Mainframe Applications. This Includes A Strong Understanding Of System Architecture, Performance Testing, And Tuning Techniques.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Distinguished Engineer, One Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Performance Issues And Provide Effective Solutions. This Requires Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, As Well As The Ability To Think Critically And Creatively.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: The Distinguished Engineer Will Often Be Responsible For Leading And Mentoring A Team Of Engineers. Therefore, Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential To Effectively Collaborate With Team Members And Communicate Complex Technical Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
