  1. Manage and maintain the stability, scalability, and performance of our database systems.
  2. Implement and maintain DevOps principles and practices in database administration.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy database solutions.
  4. Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, performance bottlenecks, and outages.
  5. Develop and maintain database backup and disaster recovery processes.
  6. Ensure compliance with security and data privacy regulations.
  7. Optimize database configurations and performance through automation and scripting.
  8. Proactively identify and recommend solutions for database improvement and optimization.
  9. Mentor and guide junior DBAs and team members in DevOps practices and database administration.
  10. Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies in database management and DevOps.
  11. Continuously improve processes and tools to enhance database management efficiency.
  12. Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  13. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to database incidents.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Database Administration: A Devops Senior Dba At Broadcom Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Database Administration, With A Strong Understanding Of Database Design, Performance Tuning, Backup And Recovery, And Troubleshooting.

  • Expertise In Devops Practices: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Devops Methodologies And Practices, Including Continuous Integration And Delivery, Automated Testing, And Infrastructure As Code. They Should Also Have Experience With Tools Such As Jenkins, Ansible, And Puppet.

  • Proficiency In Multiple Database Platforms: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Multiple Database Platforms Such As Oracle, Sql Server, And Mysql. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Database Architecture, Data Modeling, And Data Security.

  • Strong Scripting And Automation Skills: A Devops Senior Dba Should Have Experience In Scripting Languages Such As Python, Powershell, And Bash. They Should Also Be Proficient In Automation Tools Like Chef, Docker, And Kubernetes.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders. They Should Also Have Experience In Mentoring And Training Junior Team Members.
