
Hospice Medical Director
Bridge Home Healthcare & Hospice is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and patient-centered Hospice Medical Director to provide medical leadership to our Hospice program. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience providing medical direction in a hospice setting, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate, and dignified end-of-life care. This is a wonderful opportunity for a physician leader to make a lasting impact on the lives of our patients and families.The Hospice Medical Director will be responsible for providing comprehensive clinical leadership and oversight for the hospice program, including reviewing patient records, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and monitoring quality assurance measures. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high degree of medical knowledge, strong leadership and organizational abilities, and experience with end-of-life care.The successful candidate will have a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) from an accredited medical school, completion of an accredited residency program, board certification in a medical specialty, and a valid, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice. Prior experience in a hospice setting and a demonstrated commitment to end-of-life care are also required. Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive clinical leadership and oversight for the hospice program, including reviewing patient records.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor quality assurance measures to ensure the highest level of quality end-of-life care.
- Communicate and interact professionally with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Exercise strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Maintain a valid, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a high level of patient care.
- Provide medical direction and consultation to hospice staff.
- Manage patient admissions and discharges.
- Participate in continuing education activities and maintain current knowledge of hospice regulations and standards.
