Certified Home Health Aide
Bridge Home Healthcare & Hospice is looking for an experienced Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our team and provide exceptional care to our patients. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and knowledgeable of the latest medical treatments and protocols.The CHHA will be responsible for providing a variety of services to patients in their residences, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing companionship and emotional support. The candidate must enjoy working with seniors and understand the nuances of elderly care.Requirements for this role include a valid CHHA certification, reliable transportation, and at least two years of experience providing home health care. Responsibilities:
- Monitor patient vital signs and document changes.
- Administer medications as prescribed by the physician.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, bathing, and dressing.
- Follow infection control procedures in the home.
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Educate patients and families on safe and effective use of medical equipment.
- Report any changes in patient condition to supervising nurse.
- Assist with transportation to medical appointments and errands.
- Provide assistance with personal care and other duties as assigned.
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team
Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients And Their Families
Current Certification As A Home Health Aide
At Least One Year Of Experience In Home Health Care
Ability To Use Medical Equipment And Supplies
Ability To Read And Comprehend Instructions And Safety Regulations
Knowledge Of Basic Nursing Procedures
A Valid Driver’s License And Reliable Transportation.
