
Engineering Manager, Site Reliability

- Lead and manage a team of engineers within the Site Reliability department.
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of Box's systems and services.
- Create and implement processes and procedures to continuously improve the reliability and performance of our systems.
- Monitor and analyze system metrics to identify potential issues and proactively address them.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and infrastructure teams, to identify and resolve system issues.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Box's technology stack and architecture.
- Mentor and coach team members to help them grow and develop their skills.
- Work closely with the engineering leadership team to set goals, prioritize projects, and allocate resources.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in site reliability and share knowledge with the team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Manage and optimize the team's budget and resources.
- Lead incident response and post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executives, to provide updates on the team's progress and any potential risks or issues.
- Identify and implement tools and technologies to improve the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the team's processes and procedures to ensure they align with industry standards and best practices.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Leadership Role, Preferably As An Engineering Manager Or Site Reliability Engineer.
Strong Understanding Of Software Development And System Administration Principles.
Experience With Cloud Computing Platforms, Such As Aws Or Azure.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Lead And Mentor A Team.
