We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Software Engineer III to join our Forms team at Box. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure for our forms product, ensuring its reliability and scalability. Design and develop the backend infrastructure for our forms product
Ensure the reliability and scalability of the forms product
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
Implement efficient and high-performance code to meet project requirements
Troubleshoot and debug issues in the backend infrastructure
Continuously optimize and improve the backend infrastructure to enhance performance and user experience
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in backend development and apply them to improve our product
Lead and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and standards
Mentor and guide junior engineers in the team
Take ownership of the backend development process and ensure timely delivery of projects
Work closely with the product team to translate user feedback into actionable improvements for the forms product
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress
Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of the forms product
Proactively identify and address potential issues or bottlenecks in the backend infrastructure
Participate in the hiring process to help build a strong and diverse backend engineering team.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Software Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Software Development, With A Strong Focus On Backend Development And A Proven Track Record Of Delivering High-Quality Code.
Proficiency In Programming Languages And Frameworks: The Candidate Should Have Strong Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As Java, Python, Or Ruby, As Well As Experience With Relevant Frameworks Like Spring, Django, Or Rails.
Knowledge Of Database Management: A Backend Software Engineer Iii Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Database Management, Including Data Modeling, Sql, And Database Optimization Techniques.
Experience With Web Development And Api Design: The Candidate Should Have Experience Designing And Developing Restful Apis And Web Services, As Well As A Solid Understanding Of Web Development Concepts And Technologies.
Familiarity With Cloud Technologies: As A Backend Engineer At Box, The Candidate Should Have Experience With Cloud Technologies Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud Platform, And Be Comfortable Deploying And Managing Applications In A Cloud Environment.
