
Material Handler

- Receive and inspect incoming materials and verify accuracy against purchase orders and specifications.
- Safely and efficiently move materials from receiving area to designated storage locations using forklifts and other equipment.
- Keep accurate inventory records and track material movements within the warehouse.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to management.
- Prepare materials for production by pulling and staging items according to production schedule.
- Ensure that all material handling activities are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate material needs and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Assist in the implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, in a safe and responsible manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and quality standards.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Material Handler At Boston Scientific Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures A Basic Level Of Education And Understanding Of Work Instructions And Safety Procedures.
Prior Experience In A Warehouse Or Manufacturing Environment: Experience In A Similar Work Environment Provides A Strong Foundation For The Role Of A Material Handler. Candidates With Prior Experience Will Have A Better Understanding Of Warehouse Operations And Handling Of Materials.
Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Objects: This Job Requires The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Objects, Sometimes Weighing Up To 50 Pounds. A Material Handler Should Possess Physical Strength And Stamina To Handle The Demands Of The Job.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management And Tracking Systems: Boston Scientific Uses Advanced Inventory Management And Tracking Systems To Maintain Accurate Records Of Materials. A Material Handler Should Have A Good Understanding Of These Systems To Ensure Proper Handling And Recording Of Materials.
