- Receive and inspect incoming materials and products for accuracy and quality.
- Ensure timely and accurate distribution of materials and products to appropriate departments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials and products.
- Collaborate with other departments to fulfill material requests and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Communicate any supply chain issues or concerns to management in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficient material handling.
- Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Train new material handlers on proper procedures and processes.
- Assist with special projects and tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all quality control standards to ensure products meet company standards.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments related to material handling processes.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
Experience Operating Material Handling Equipment: Candidates Should Have Experience Operating Various Types Of Material Handling Equipment, Such As Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, And Hand Trucks, To Move Materials And Products Throughout The Warehouse Or Production Facility.
Knowledge Of Safety Procedures: Material Handlers Must Be Trained And Knowledgeable About Safety Procedures And Regulations, As They Will Be Responsible For Safely Transporting And Storing Potentially Hazardous Materials.
Ability To Read And Interpret Documents: Material Handlers Must Be Able To Read And Interpret Various Documents, Including Shipping Orders, Packing Lists, And Production Schedules, To Ensure The Accurate Movement And Storage Of Materials And Products.
Physical Stamina And Strength: This Job Can Be Physically Demanding, So Candidates Should Be In Good Physical Condition And Able To Lift And Carry Heavy Loads, Stand For Long Periods Of Time, And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.
