
Medical Coding Specialist

You should also have at least five years of experience working with medical coding and the ICD-10 coding system. Responsibilities: -Analyze medical records and identify coding discrepancies -Assign accurate codes based on medical diagnosis and procedures -Ensure that claims are documented and processed accurately and efficiently -Review coding accuracy and compliance with industry regulations -Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ICD-10 coding system -Stay current with coding changes and updates -Provide guidance and assistance to staff on coding matters -Work with other departments to resolve coding issues -Maintain detailed records and documentation of coding activities -Conduct quality assurance reviews and audits -Communicate with insurance companies and providers to resolve coding issues -Participate in continuing education and training programs
