Data Analyst

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. The ideal candidate knows how to collect, process, and analyze data to provide actionable insight, understands the importance of data accuracy and quality, and is passionate about using data to drive strategic decision making. To be successful in this role, the Data Analyst must have a keen eye for detail and be able to effectively communicate complex information in an understandable manner. The ideal candidate must also possess a deep understanding of data analysis and visualization techniques, and have the ability to interpret large datasets and draw meaningful conclusions from them. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Business Intelligence, and at least two years of experience in a data-driven role. Expertise in SQL and statistical software packages such as SAS and R is a must. Experience in data mining, machine learning, and predictive analytics is preferred.

3. Develop actionable insights to drive strategic decision making.

5. Utilize data visualization techniques to communicate complex information in an understandable manner.
6. Develop and maintain SQL queries and statistical software packages such as SAS and R.
7. Develop and maintain data mining, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
8. Prepare documentation of analysis processes and findings.
