BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is hiring for a Customer Service Representative who is passionate about providing excellent customer service. This position requires a personable, patient, and detail-oriented individual who has a minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a commitment to doing the right thing for our members. Experience with medical insurance is a plus, but not required. The Customer Service Representative will be an integral part of our team as they will be the front line of customer service for our members. Successful candidates need to be able to handle a variety of customer inquiries with professionalism and accuracy. Our Customer Service Representatives are the face and voice of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, and as such, they must provide the best service to our members. Responsibilities: • Maintain a friendly and professional attitude when communicating with customers • Respond to customer inquiries in a prompt and accurate manner • Troubleshoot customer issues and provide solutions in a timely fashion • Ensure customer information is up-to-date and accurate • Provide answers and guidance regarding products and services • Uphold company policies and procedures • Adhere to strict customer service guidelines • Proactively address potential customer issues • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Adhere to customer service standards • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of products and services offered
