Job Description

At BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, we are looking for a customer service-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate attitude, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. If you are passionate about helping people and have the qualifications listed below, we would love to hear from you!Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent• Minimum of one year of customer service experience• Experience with Microsoft Office applications• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work cooperatively with customers, staff, and other departments

Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Provide accurate information to customers regarding products and services

• Process customer orders and transactions

• Troubleshoot customer service issues and escalate as needed

• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with services and products

• Maintain customer records and documents

• Develop and maintain working relationships with customers

• Utilize Microsoft Office applications to enter and update customer information

• Work cooperatively with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction

• Adhere to customer service standards and procedures

• Participate in customer service training and development programs

• Monitor customer service trends and recommend process improvements
