Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Customer Service Representative to join the team at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. You will be part of a team of professionals providing excellent customer service and support, and will be the main point of contact for customer inquiries and service requests. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and customer service skills, as well as have a high level of organization and attention to detail. If you are passionate about helping others and are interested in joining a dynamic team, we look forward to hearing from you.Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent• At least two years of customer service experience• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices• Ability to handle difficult customer inquiries and service requests• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team• Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities

Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to customer inquiries and service requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
  2. Maintain a high level of customer service standards and ensure customer satisfaction.
  3. Handle customer complaints in an efficient and effective manner.
  4. Identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  5. Maintain accurate customer records on the company’s database.
  6. Escalate customer problems, if needed, and provide follow-up to ensure resolution.
  7. Cooperate with colleagues to provide excellent customer service.
  8. Follow up with customers to ensure their needs are met.
  9. Assist with customer service training and development.
  10. Remain up-to-date with changes in customer service practices.
