
Claims Processor
We are looking for a Claims Processor to join our Claims department at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. In this role, you will process and adjudicate claims accurately and efficiently, while providing excellent customer service to our members. To be successful in this position, you must possess strong problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. If you are a motivated professional with the commitment to serve our members with accuracy and speed, we would love to have you join our team!The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:• High School Diploma or equivalent• At least one year of experience in healthcare claims processing• In-depth knowledge of health claims adjudication and medical terminology• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Strong communication and customer service skills• A commitment to accuracy and customer satisfaction
Responsibilities:
• Process and adjudicate claims in a timely and accurate manner. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims activity. • Research and resolve claims inquiries from members. • Review and verify all claims documentation for accuracy. • Communicate with providers and members regarding claims status. • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. • Act as a liaison between members and providers to ensure timely resolution of claims. • Provide excellent customer service to members. • Maintain a high level of accuracy and customer satisfaction. • Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve complex claims issues. • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to create and manage claims documents. • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment. • Assist with additional tasks as needed.
