Pharmacy Technician

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Blue Shield of California. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for delivering quality customer service. The ideal Pharmacy Technician should have a minimum of two years of experience in a pharmacy setting and a Pharmacy Technician Certification from an accredited program. Responsibilities:

1. Assist pharmacists with the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of pharmaceuticals, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, and other medical products.
2. Ensure that all prescriptions are accurately filled and labeled in accordance with state and federal regulations.
3. Maintain medication stock, order refills as needed, and keep track of inventory.
4. Enter prescription information into the computer system accurately and efficiently.
5. Answer customer inquiries and provide helpful information as needed.
6. Process insurance claims and handle financial transactions.
7. Keep the pharmacy clean and organized.
8. Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards.
9. Provide excellent customer service in a courteous and professional manner.
10. Monitor and report any suspicious or fraudulent activity.
