
Pharmacist, Principal
Blue Shield of California is seeking a highly-motivated Principal Pharmacist to lead our pharmacy operations and services. The successful candidate will join our dynamic team and be responsible for providing oversight and management of the pharmacy benefit management program and services.The ideal Principal Pharmacist will have an in-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulatory requirements, and industry changes and trends, and will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. This position requires an individual who can think strategically and proactively, and lead our team of professionals in delivering high-quality pharmacy services to our members.To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, a minimum of five years' experience in a managed care or pharmacy benefit management environment, and must be licensed as a pharmacist in the state of California. You must also have a strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems and the ability to effectively communicate complex and technical information to a variety of stakeholders.If you have a passion for pharmacy services and the drive to lead and inspire a team to provide excellent care, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and management of pharmacy benefit management program and services.

- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively and accurately complex and technical information to stakeholders.
- Monitor progress and performance of pharmacy operations and services.
- Monitor compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Ensure that all operations and services are in line with organizational policies and procedures.
