Medical Coder

At Blue Shield of California, we are looking for an experienced Medical Coder to join our team. Working with our dedicated team of healthcare professionals, you will be responsible for accurately coding medical information, ensuring that appropriate insurance payments are received, and providing excellent customer service. We are looking for a high-performing individual with a proven track record who can accurately code medical information and is able to quickly navigate medical records. To be successful in this role, you should have an associate degree in medical coding or a related field, plus at least two years of experience in a hospital or physician office setting. You should also have a strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy, and be well-versed in CPT, HCPCS, and ICD coding. Additionally, you should have excellent communication and customer service skills and be able to work independently.
