Job Description

As a Data Analyst - Health at Blue Shield of California, you will play an integral role in providing data-driven insights to help improve the quality of our health services. We are looking for a highly-motivated individual with a passion for data analytics and a commitment to excellence to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of three years of professional experience working with health data, extensive knowledge of SQL and other analytics software, and an understanding of healthcare systems and processes. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders. Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize data analytics to gain insights into the quality of health services and provide actionable recommendations.
  2. Develop and maintain complex databases and applications using SQL and other analytics software.
  3. Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends and insights.
  4. Develop and implement data-driven processes and strategies for healthcare improvement.
  5. Work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including healthcare providers, administrators, and executives.
  6. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
  7. Monitor and report on progress towards objectives.
  8. Provide technical support and guidance for data-related initiatives.
  9. Stay abreast of trends and developments in healthcare data and analytics.
