Health and Safety Specialist

Delivers training, NEO, Awareness training, develops materials using PowerPoint and knowledge checks. Including working with ATI for training needs. Set up outside vendors, organizes classes and location, etc. Monthly safety inspections and reports out to Site Management. Establishes relationships with each department at each location. Communicates frequently with safety manager, location manager, injured workers, insurance adjusters as claims dictate to ensure continuity of claims. Partners with HR on leave management, ADA and FMLA as it relates to workers’ compensation claims. Maintains and complies documentation to satisfy all statutory and BDG guidelines and Cal/OSHA compliance, Training and information for the Cal/VPP program. Communicates to location leaders and/Health & Safety Mgr. on non-compliance.
