We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Data Management Professional - Data Quality to join our dynamic team at Bloomberg. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data, as well as implementing and maintaining data quality processes and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, a deep understanding of data quality principles, and a proven track record of successfully implementing data quality initiatives.   1. Develop and implement data quality processes and standards to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our data.
  2. Monitor and maintain data quality metrics to identify and address any issues or discrepancies.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data quality standards are met.
  4. Conduct data audits and identify areas for improvement in data quality.
  5. Develop and maintain data quality documentation, including data quality rules, policies, and procedures.
  6. Train and educate team members on data quality best practices and help build a culture of data quality throughout the organization.
  7. Continuously monitor and improve data quality processes and make recommendations for enhancements.
  8. Act as a subject matter expert for data quality, providing guidance and support to other teams within the organization.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in data quality to ensure our processes remain effective and efficient.
  10. Communicate data quality issues and progress to stakeholders and management in a clear and concise manner.
  11. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data quality tools and systems are functioning properly and make recommendations for improvements.
  12. Lead and participate in data quality projects, providing strategic guidance and ensuring successful execution.
  13. Proactively identify potential data quality risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  14. Provide support and guidance to junior data management professionals.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the data management team.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Data Management: A Senior Data Management Professional At Bloomberg Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Relevant Experience In Managing Large And Complex Data Sets, Preferably In The Financial Services Industry. This Includes Expertise In Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Integration And Data Architecture.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills And Be Able To Identify Data Quality Issues, Perform Root Cause Analysis, And Develop And Implement Solutions To Improve Data Quality. This Requires A Deep Understanding Of Data Management Best Practices And An Ability To Work With Complex Data Structures.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Regulations: Bloomberg Operates In A Highly Regulated Industry, And The Senior Data Management Professional Must Be Well-Versed In Relevant Regulations Such As Gdpr, Mifid Ii, And Others. They Should Also Have Experience In Implementing And Maintaining Compliance With These Regulations.

  • Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Senior Level Position, The Candidate Should Have Experience In Leading And Managing Teams, As Well As Large-Scale Data Management Projects. They Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders.

  • Technical Proficiency: In Order To Effectively Manage Data Quality, The Candidate Should Have Strong Technical Skills, Including Proficiency In Sql, Etl Tools, Data Quality Tools, And Database Management Systems. Knowledge Of Programming Languages Such As Python And R Is Also Desirable. Additionally, Experience With Bloomberg's Data Management Systems And Tools Is A Plus.
