Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough research and investigate the latest developments and trends in the pharmaceutical industry.
  2. Write and publish in-depth, informative and engaging articles on a variety of topics related to the pharmaceutical industry, including but not limited to drug approvals, clinical trials, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory changes.
  3. Utilize a variety of sources to gather information and provide accurate and well-researched reporting.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with key sources within the pharmaceutical industry, including executives, analysts, and experts.
  5. Break news and provide timely coverage on important events and announcements in the pharmaceutical world.
  6. Collaborate with editors and other team members to develop story ideas and angles that will resonate with a broad audience.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends, and pitch timely and relevant story ideas.
  8. Attend conferences, events, and other industry gatherings to build relationships and gather information for stories.
  9. Ensure all articles meet Bloomberg's high editorial standards for accuracy, fairness, and clarity.
  10. Work closely with multimedia producers to create engaging and informative multimedia content to accompany articles.
  11. Monitor and analyze readership data to identify trends and topics that resonate with our audience.
  12. Be a self-starter and take initiative to pursue and develop original and exclusive stories.
  13. Collaborate with other reporters and departments within Bloomberg to provide comprehensive coverage of the pharmaceutical industry.
  14. Represent Bloomberg and the pharmaceutical team in media appearances and interviews.
  15. Adhere to deadlines and work efficiently under pressure to produce high-quality content on a regular basis.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Journalism, Communications, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3 Years Of Experience Reporting On The Pharmaceutical Industry Or Related Health Care Topics.

  • Strong Understanding Of Financial Markets And The Ability To Analyze And Interpret Data Related To Pharmaceutical Companies.

  • Proven Track Record Of Breaking News And Developing Sources Within The Pharmaceutical Industry.

  • Excellent Writing And Reporting Skills, With The Ability To Produce Accurate And Compelling Stories On Tight Deadlines.
