- Monitor and maintain the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure of our facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of MEP systems to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for all MEP equipment and systems.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for repairs, upgrades, and installations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues in a timely manner.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in MEP infrastructure to make recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure all MEP systems are aligned with company standards and goals.
- Develop and maintain accurate records and documentation of all MEP infrastructure and maintenance activities.
- Assist with budget planning and cost management for MEP infrastructure projects.
- Continuously look for ways to improve the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of our MEP systems.
- Train and educate employees on proper use and maintenance of MEP equipment and systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Act as a point of contact for any MEP-related emergencies or issues.
- Serve as a technical resource for the Facilities team and provide support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders regarding MEP infrastructure updates and projects.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Or Electrical Engineering: A Strong Foundation In Engineering Principles Is Essential For This Role, As The Facilities Mep Infrastructure Engineer Will Be Responsible For Designing, Implementing, And Maintaining Various Mep Systems.
Professional Engineering (Pe) License: Having A Pe License Demonstrates A High Level Of Technical Expertise And Ensures That The Engineer Is Familiar With Relevant Codes And Regulations.
Minimum 5 Years Of Experience In Mep Engineering: To Be Successful In This Role, The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working With Mep Systems, Preferably In A Facilities Management Or Infrastructure Engineering Capacity.
Familiarity With Building Management Systems (Bms): The Facilities Mep Infrastructure Engineer Will Be Responsible For Monitoring And Optimizing The Performance Of Various Building Systems, So Experience With Bms Is Highly Preferred.
Excellent Problem-Solving And Communication Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Troubleshoot Complex Issues And Communicate Solutions Effectively To Stakeholders At All Levels. Strong Communication Skills Are A Must For Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams And Managing Vendor Relationships.
