Job Description

  1. Develop and implement company-wide data privacy policies and procedures in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Monitor and assess the company's data privacy practices to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with established policies.
  3. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to protect consumer data.
  4. Act as the main point of contact for all data privacy-related inquiries from clients, regulators, and other external stakeholders.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data privacy considerations are integrated into all business processes and initiatives.
  6. Advise and educate employees on data privacy best practices and compliance requirements.
  7. Stay up-to-date with evolving data privacy laws and regulations and make recommendations for updates to company policies and procedures.
  8. Manage and respond to data privacy incidents and breaches in a timely and effective manner.
  9. Develop and deliver data privacy training programs for employees to ensure understanding and adherence to policies and procedures.
  10. Collaborate with external legal counsel on data privacy matters and represent the company in legal proceedings related to data privacy.
  11. Proactively identify potential data privacy risks and provide proactive solutions to mitigate them.
  12. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of data privacy compliance activities.
  13. Communicate with clients and partners regarding data privacy practices and policies to maintain trust and transparency.
  14. Act as an ambassador for the company's commitment to data privacy and protection of consumer data.
  15. Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of data privacy policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvement as necessary.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Data Privacy Laws And Regulations: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Global Data Privacy Laws And Regulations, Including Gdpr, Ccpa, And Other Relevant Laws.

  • Legal Background And Experience: A Background In Law, Preferably With Experience In Data Privacy And Security, Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Legal Principles And Be Able To Apply Them To Data Privacy Issues.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Analytical Skills To Interpret Complex Data Privacy Laws And Regulations And Apply Them To Bloomberg's Business Practices.

  • Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate Data Privacy Concepts And Requirements To Various Stakeholders Within The Organization. They Should Also Be Able To Collaborate With Teams Across Different Departments To Implement Data Privacy Policies And Procedures.

  • Experience In Developing And Implementing Data Privacy Programs: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Developing And Implementing Data Privacy Programs And Policies In A Corporate Setting. This Includes Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments, Developing Data Privacy Policies And Procedures, And Providing Training To Employees On Data Privacy Best Practices.
