Job Description

We at Bloomberg are looking for a highly-skilled Data Engineer to join our Alternative Investments Data team. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and analytical individual to join our team and help shape the future of financial data.As Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing data products and platforms that power Bloomberg’s Alternative Investments Data. You will ensure that our data is accurate, complete, and timely, and that our customers have access to the data they need. You will also develop processes and tools to maintain, extract, and analyze data from different sources.The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a data engineering role, a mastery of a scripting language (Python, R, etc.), experience with databases (SQL, MongoDB), and a strong understanding of the financial markets. You must be able to think strategically and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) is a plus.If you are passionate about data and eager to join a team of like-minded professionals in a dynamic and rewarding environment, then this is the job for you.
