  1. Conduct virtual intake assessments with patients to determine their healthcare needs and eligibility for services.
  2. Review and verify patient insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations for services.
  3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and interactions.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure patients receive the appropriate level of care.

  9. Troubleshoot any issues or concerns that may arise during the intake process and escalate to the appropriate parties as needed.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry and regulatory changes related to healthcare intake procedures.
  11. Act as a positive representative of BJC HealthCare and promote a positive image of the organization to patients and the community.
  12. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  13. Follow all BJC HealthCare policies and procedures to maintain a safe and professional work environment.
  14. Adhere to all ethical standards and guidelines in providing care to patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Or A Related Field

  • Active And Valid State Licensure As A Registered Nurse (Rn) Or Licensed Practical Nurse (Lpn)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Clinical Or Intake Role

  • Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Healthcare Insurance Processes

  • Proficiency In Computer Systems And Ability To Navigate Electronic Medical Records (Emrs) And Billing Systems.
