
Transplant Program Assistant

- Provide administrative support to the transplant program by maintaining accurate and organized records, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate communication and ensure timely and efficient patient care.
- Assist with patient intake and registration, ensuring all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and maintain transplant program calendars, including scheduling of surgeries, consultations, and follow-up appointments.
- Assist in obtaining necessary insurance authorizations and maintaining accurate billing records.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the transplant team, providing compassionate and responsive communication and addressing any concerns or questions that may arise.
- Coordinate and assist with patient education and support groups, as well as community outreach efforts.
- Assist with data collection and analysis to support program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations in handling patient information.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices and advances in transplant care.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care for transplant patients.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork and exhibiting a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills.
2-3 Years Of Experience Working In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Transplant Program.
Knowledge Of Transplant Procedures And Regulations, Including Unos Guidelines.
Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information.
