- Prepare surgical equipment and supplies: As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies prior to a procedure. Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technology Program: Candidates For A Surgical Technologist Position At Bjc Healthcare Must Have Completed A Program Accredited By The Commission On Accreditation Of Allied Health Education Programs (Caahep) Or The Accrediting Bureau Of Health Education Schools (Abhes).
Certification As A Surgical Technologist: Bjc Healthcare Requires All Surgical Technologists To Be Certified By The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa). This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Knowledge And Competency In The Field.
