1. Maintain a thorough understanding of infection control procedures and implement them in all aspects of the sterile processing process.
2. Operate and maintain sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
3. Inspect, assemble, and package medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
4. Monitor and document all sterilization processes and maintain accurate records.
5. Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure that all equipment and instruments are readily available and properly prepared for procedures.
6. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
7. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate department for repair.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in sterile processing techniques.
9. Assist in training new team members and ensuring they are following proper procedures.
10. Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare providers to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
11. Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
