  1. Oversee the daily operations of the sterile processing department, including managing staff, scheduling, and ensuring efficient workflow.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain the highest standards of sterilization and infection control.
  3. Train and mentor staff on proper sterilization techniques and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies to ensure uninterrupted flow of sterile equipment and supplies.
  5. Perform regular quality checks and audits to ensure equipment is properly sterilized and maintained.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of sterile equipment and supplies.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of sterilization processes, equipment maintenance, and staff training.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in sterilization techniques and equipment.
  9. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and other staff to address any concerns or issues related to sterile equipment and supplies.
  10. Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the sterile processing department.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role In A Sterile Processing Department.

  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst) Certification From The International Association Of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (Iahcsmm).

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Sterile Processing Procedures, Equipment, And Techniques In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Team-Building Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Sterile Processing Technicians.

  • Familiarity With Regulatory Guidelines And Standards For Sterile Processing, Such As Those Set By The Joint Commission And The Centers For Medicare And Medicaid Services (Cms).
