Staff Educator/ Nurse Educator

1. Develop educational programs: Create, design, and implement educational programs that meet the learning needs of healthcare professionals at BJC HealthCare.
2. Evaluate programs: Continuously assess the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary improvements to ensure they are meeting the desired outcomes.
3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to identify learning needs and develop educational initiatives to address these needs.
4. Deliver presentations and workshops: Conduct presentations and training sessions to educate staff on various healthcare topics, including new procedures, protocols, and technologies.
5. Stay updated on industry developments: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and evidence-based practices in healthcare education to ensure BJC HealthCare's educational programs are up-to-date and relevant.
6. Mentor and coach staff: Provide support and guidance to staff to help them enhance their skills and knowledge, ultimately improving patient care.
7. Promote a culture of continuous learning: Encourage and inspire staff to participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities to advance their knowledge and skills.
8. Manage educational resources: Oversee the budget, materials, and resources for educational programs and ensure they are utilized effectively and efficiently.
9. Monitor compliance: Ensure that all educational programs comply with regulatory and accreditation standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Joint Commission.
10. Collaborate with other departments: Work with other departments, such as Human Resources and Quality Improvement, to identify training needs and develop solutions to address them.
11. Maintain records: Keep accurate records of educational programs, attendance, and evaluations for reporting and compliance purposes.
12. Act as a role model: Set an example for staff by demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning, professionalism, and high-quality patient care.
13. Communicate effectively: Maintain open and effective communication with all levels of staff, including nurses, physicians, and leadership, to promote a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
