- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions to improve patient outcomes and streamline healthcare processes.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of healthcare information systems, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform decision-making and drive process improvements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on healthcare informatics, providing guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and protocols related to healthcare informatics processes and systems.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to healthcare informatics.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify opportunities for using technology and data to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Lead the implementation and integration of new healthcare technology and informatics systems.
- Train and educate colleagues on healthcare informatics principles, tools, and processes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and use data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.

- Participate in conferences, workshops, and other professional development opportunities to stay current on industry trends and advancements in healthcare informatics.
Extensive Experience In Healthcare Informatics: A Sr. Healthcare Informaticist At Bjc Healthcare Should Have A Strong Background In Healthcare Informatics, With At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In The Field. This Includes Experience With Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems, Data Analytics, And Project Management.
Advanced Degree In Health Informatics Or Related Field: A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Role. This Ensures That The Individual Has A Solid Understanding Of The Principles And Practices Of Healthcare Informatics.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: Bjc Healthcare Operates In A Highly Regulated Industry, And A Sr. Healthcare Informaticist Needs To Have A Thorough Understanding Of Relevant Laws And Regulations Such As Hipaa, Hitech, And Meaningful Use. This Knowledge Is Crucial For Ensuring Compliance And Maintaining The Security Of Patient Data.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Sr. Healthcare Informaticist, One Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Data Sets And Identify Trends And Insights That Can Inform Decision-Making. This Requires Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, As Well As The Ability To Think Critically And Creatively.
