Job Description

As a Senior OR Resource Nurse for GI/Endoscopy at BJC HealthCare, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing gastrointestinal and endoscopic procedures.   1. Oversee and coordinate all aspects of patient care in the GI/Endoscopy operating room.
  2. Utilize advanced knowledge and skills in GI/Endoscopy procedures to assist surgeons and other team members during procedures.
  3. Monitor patients' vital signs and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
  4. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and procedures.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  6. Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
  7. Train and mentor junior staff members in GI/Endoscopy procedures and protocols.
  8. Serve as a resource and consultant for nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  10. Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements and developments in GI/Endoscopy procedures and technology.
  11. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
  12. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  13. Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback for staff members.
  14. Act as a liaison between the GI/Endoscopy team and other departments within the healthcare facility.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current And Active Rn License In The State Of Missouri.

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills And Experience In A Supervisory Or Management Role.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience As A Registered Nurse, With At Least 2 Years In Gi/Endoscopy.

  • Advanced Certification In Gi/Endoscopy Nursing (Cgrn) Preferred.
