Job Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients in the comfort of their own homes, while utilizing your expertise in infusion therapy.   1. Provide high-quality care to patients receiving infusion therapy in their homes.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status and needs, and develop individualized care plans.
  3. Administer and monitor infusion therapy, including IV medications and fluids, blood products, and nutrition.
  4. Educate patients and their families on the proper use and maintenance of infusion equipment and supplies.
  5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective care.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
  7. Monitor and report any changes or complications in patients' conditions.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices.
  10. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  11. Advocate for patients' needs and rights.
  12. Maintain strong communication with team members and other healthcare providers.
  13. Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in infusion therapy.
  14. Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and empathy in all interactions with patients and their families.
  15. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations set by BJC HealthCare and governing bodies.
  16. Work independently while also being a team player.
  17. Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
  18. Continuously strive for excellence in patient care and customer service.
  19. Attend and actively participate in meetings and trainings.
  20. Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of BJC HealthCare.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or An Equivalent Combination Of Education And Experience

  • Current And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Practice

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience As A Registered Nurse, Preferably In An Acute Care Setting

  • Experience With Home Infusion Therapy And/Or Specialized Certifications Such As Crni (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion)

  • Strong Communication, Critical Thinking, And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team.
