Job Description

Are you an experienced mental health professional with a passion for providing exceptional patient care? BJC HealthCare is seeking a motivated and compassionate Psychology Intake Liaison to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking mental health services at multiple sites throughout BJC HealthCare. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on patients' lives by providing timely and comprehensive assessments and referrals to the appropriate mental health professionals.This is a full-time position requiring a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, at least one year of clinical experience in a mental health setting, and knowledge of the DSM-V. In addition, you must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide timely and comprehensive assessments and referrals to the appropriate mental health professionals.
  2. Serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking mental health services at multiple sites throughout BJC HealthCare.
  3. Provide superior patient care in a compassionate manner.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of the DSM-V.
  5. Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Work independently and collaboratively with other mental health professionals.
  7. Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to mental health.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to patient care.
  9. Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  10. Participate in continuing education and other development activities to stay abreast of best practices in the field.
