  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and medical history to determine eligibility for procedures and surgeries.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop individualized care plans for patients.
  3. Educate patients and their families about procedures, surgeries, and post-operative care.
  4. Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a smooth and efficient pre-admission process.
  5. Review and evaluate medical records, diagnostic tests, and other pertinent information to identify potential risks and complications.
  6. Monitor and manage patient symptoms and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
  7. Coordinate and schedule necessary pre-operative tests and consultations.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient interactions, assessments, and interventions.
  9. Serve as a resource for patients and families, addressing any questions or concerns related to the pre-admission process.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
  11. Follow all safety protocols and infection control guidelines to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  12. Stay current on industry advancements and best practices in pre-admission care and incorporate them into practice.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and protocols for the pre-admission process.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of BJC HealthCare and promote a positive image of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Current State Licensure As A Nurse Practitioner In The State Of Missouri.

  • Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Nurse Practitioner In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Strong Clinical Assessment And Decision-Making Skills.

  • Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Quality Care To Patients In A Fast-Paced Environment.
