
Physician Assistant - Ortho and Sports Medicine

- Provide exceptional patient care: The Physician Assistant will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with orthopedic and sports-related injuries. They will use their clinical expertise to deliver high-quality care and ensure the well-being of each patient.
- Work collaboratively with physicians: The Physician Assistant will work closely with renowned physicians in the Ortho and Sports Medicine department to provide comprehensive care to patients. They will collaborate on treatment plans and assist in surgeries and procedures as needed.
- Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests: The incumbent will be responsible for conducting thorough physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, and interpreting the results to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Develop and implement treatment plans: The Physician Assistant will work with patients to develop personalized treatment plans based on their specific needs and medical history. They will also educate patients on their condition and treatment options.
- Manage patient follow-up and care coordination: The Physician Assistant will be responsible for managing patient follow-up appointments and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records: The incumbent will ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care in electronic medical records. They will also adhere to all legal and ethical standards in regards to patient confidentiality.
- Stay current with medical advancements and best practices: The Physician Assistant will continuously update their knowledge and skills by attending relevant training and staying current with medical advancements and best practices in Ortho and Sports Medicine.
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and standards: The incumbent will follow all regulatory guidelines and standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, and state regulations, to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals: The Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists and athletic trainers, to provide coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.

Master's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program Is Required For This Position.
Current Pa Licensure And Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Physician Assistant License And Certification From The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).
Experience In Orthopedics And Sports Medicine: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Orthopedics And Sports Medicine, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Diagnostic And Treatment Procedures: The Candidate Should Possess An In-Depth Understanding Of Diagnostic And Treatment Procedures Related To Orthopedic And Sports Medicine Conditions, Including But Not Limited To Fractures, Sprains, And Strains.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role, As The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Provide Comprehensive Care.
