
Physical Therapist - NICU

- Conduct physical therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for premature and critically ill infants in the NICU.
- Provide safe and effective physical therapy interventions to promote growth, development, and mobility in fragile newborns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for NICU patients.
- Educate and train parents and caregivers on techniques and exercises to support their infant's progress.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Stay current on the latest research and evidence-based practices in pediatric physical therapy.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area in the NICU.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all therapy sessions and patient progress.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during their time in the NICU.
- Act as an advocate for the needs of NICU patients and their families.
- Continuously strive to improve the quality of care provided to NICU patients.
- Attend training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to pediatric physical therapy.
- Adhere to ethical standards and professional code of conduct at all times.
Current State License To Practice As A Physical Therapist.
Master's Or Doctorate Degree In Physical Therapy From An Accredited Program.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Nicu Setting.
Cpr And Basic Life Support Certification.
Strong Understanding Of Neonatal Development And Experience Working With Premature Infants.
