- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients of all ages, following established phlebotomy procedures and protocols.
- Label, process and prepare blood samples for transport to the laboratory, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
- Verify patient identification and obtain necessary consent for testing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly dispose of biohazardous materials.
- Utilize proper infection control techniques and follow safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Accurately record and document patient information and phlebotomy procedures in electronic medical records.
- Communicate with healthcare team members and patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment, notifying supervisor when supplies are low.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards.
- Attend trainings and meetings to stay current with industry updates and advancements in phlebotomy techniques.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other phlebotomists and healthcare professionals to foster a positive and efficient work environment.
- Handle and resolve any patient concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.

Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Phlebotomist In A Clinical Or Hospital Setting.
Completion Of An Accredited Phlebotomy Program And Current Certification As A Phlebotomy Technician.
Demonstrated Proficiency In Venipuncture And Capillary Puncture Techniques.
Knowledge Of Laboratory Procedures And Equipment, Including Specimen Collection, Processing, And Handling.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Laboratory Staff.
