  1. Provide emotional support and guidance to pediatric patients and their families during their healthcare journey.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' social, emotional, and psychological needs.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Connect patients and families with appropriate community resources and support services.
  5. Advocate for patients' rights and needs, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
  6. Educate patients and families about their healthcare options and help them make informed decisions.
  7. Offer counseling and therapy services to patients and families as needed.
  8. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and documentation.
  9. Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient care and facilitate coordination of services.
  10. Stay up-to-date on current social work practices and techniques related to pediatric care.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, as well as colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
  12. Provide crisis intervention and support during challenging situations for patients and families.
  13. Promote a positive and welcoming environment for patients and families.
  14. Collaborate with insurance companies and other organizations to ensure patients have access to necessary resources.
  15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of care to pediatric patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Social Work With A Focus On Pediatric Care Or Child And Family Therapy.

  • At Least Two Years Of Experience Working With Pediatric Patients, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Child Development And The Impact Of Illness Or Injury On Children And Their Families.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work Effectively With A Multidisciplinary Team.

  • Experience In Providing Emotional Support And Counseling To Children And Families Coping With Medical Issues And Navigating Complex Healthcare Systems.
