1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
3. Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records.
4. Verify insurance information and assist with insurance billing and claims.
5. Collect co-payments and fees from patients.
6. Provide information about healthcare services, facilities, and policies to patients and visitors.
7. Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
8. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
9. Handle patient complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
10. Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
11. Use computer systems and software to enter and retrieve patient information.
12. Adhere to all BJC HealthCare policies and procedures.
13. Attend trainings and meetings to stay updated on new procedures, technology, and policies.
14. Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and patient satisfaction.
15. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
16. Follow safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment.
17. Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
18. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
