- Greet and welcome patients to BJC HealthCare with a warm and empathetic attitude.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients by being attentive, compassionate, and responsive to their needs.
- Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring effective communication and understanding of treatment plans.
- Guide and support patients through the healthcare system, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, procedures, and follow-up care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and financial information.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and efficient patient experience.
- Assist patients with insurance and billing inquiries, providing resources and guidance as needed.
- Educate patients on their health conditions and treatment options, promoting self-management and wellness.
- Continuously evaluate and improve patient navigation processes to enhance the overall patient experience.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Uphold BJC HealthCare's mission and values in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in patient navigation to provide the highest level of care to patients.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of BJC HealthCare to ensure compliance and a safe work environment.
Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Nursing, Or Related Field.
Previous Experience In A Patient Navigation Or Care Coordination Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Systems, Including Insurance Policies And Coverage.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Navigate And Advocate For Patients.
