In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, while also providing excellent customer service to patients and other stakeholders.   1. Oversee and manage the cash posting function for the patient accounts department.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments received from patients and insurance companies.
  3. Monitor and reconcile daily cash deposits and identify any discrepancies or issues.
  4. Develop and maintain efficient processes and procedures for cash posting.
  5. Train and mentor team members on proper cash posting procedures and best practices.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to resolve payment-related issues.
  7. Review and analyze payment reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  8. Provide excellent customer service to patients and external stakeholders regarding payment inquiries and concerns.
  9. Stay up-to-date with healthcare regulations and insurance policies related to cash posting.
  10. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  11. Participate in departmental meetings and provide updates on cash posting performance.
  12. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
  13. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to cash posting.
  14. Monitor and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for the cash posting function.
  15. Manage and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and partners related to cash posting.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Billing And Collections, With A Focus On Cash Posting.

  • Proficient In Using Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems And Healthcare Billing Software.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Attention To Detail To Accurately Post And Reconcile Payments.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Billing And Collections Teams, Patients, And Insurance Companies.
