The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing a positive first impression to all patients, visitors, and guests by providing exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will have a friendly and professional demeanor, the ability to listen and respond to patient inquiries, and an exceptional attention to detail.Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent• Minimum of two years of customer service experience• Working knowledge of medical terminology• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information• Strong interpersonal and communication skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities of a Patient Access Representative:

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner • Answer patient inquiries and provide information as needed • Manage patient registration processes accurately and efficiently • Ensure that all patient information is kept confidential in accordance with HIPAA regulations • Process patient payments and verify insurance coverage • Verify patient eligibility for services and provide coverage information as needed • Schedule appointments and coordinate with other departments, if necessary • Monitor patient satisfaction and respond to complaints in a timely manner • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude while working • Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and stay up to date with changes in the field • Assist in other duties as needed
