- Collect and maintain accurate and comprehensive oncology data in electronic medical records and databases.
- Review and analyze complex oncology data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and standards for data collection and reporting.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to obtain necessary data and resolve discrepancies.
- Develop and implement data quality improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and completeness of oncology data.
- Create reports and presentations to communicate data findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Stay informed about new developments and advancements in the field of oncology data management.
- Train and educate staff on oncology data collection and documentation procedures.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to support clinical research and quality improvement projects.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards when handling sensitive patient information.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to oncology data management.
- Continuously evaluate and improve data management processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Act as a resource for colleagues and provide guidance on oncology data-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to troubleshoot data system issues and implement solutions.
- Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in oncology data management.
Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Oncology Data Management.
Knowledge Of Cancer Registry Operations And Reporting Requirements.
Certification As A Certified Tumor Registrar (Ctr) Preferred.
Proficiency In Medical Terminology And Electronic Health Record Systems.
