Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our Neurosurgery team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will play a vital role in assisting our neurosurgeons in providing top-notch care to our patients. With your expertise and compassionate nature, you will help make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. If you are passionate about neurosurgery and have the required qualifications, we would love to have you as part of our team.

  1. Collaborate with the neurosurgery team to provide exceptional care to patients.
  2. Assist neurosurgeons with various tasks, such as setting up equipment and preparing patients for procedures.
  3. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to medical staff.
  4. Provide compassionate support to patients and their families, answering questions and addressing any concerns.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety and comfort of patients.
  6. Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  8. Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of neurosurgery procedures and techniques.
  9. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and medical staff to provide a positive and supportive atmosphere.
  12. Adhere to all policies and procedures of BJC HealthCare and comply with all legal and ethical standards.
  13. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the neurosurgery team.

Job Qualifications
  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Medical Assistant (Ma) Certification

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients And Healthcare Professionals.

  • Prior Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting

  • Knowledge Of Neurological Conditions And Procedures
