Job Description

BJC HealthCare is seeking an experienced MSW Social Worker to provide comprehensive care for our patients. Our ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and dedicated to providing the highest quality of care. We need an individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population.The MSW Social Worker will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, plan, and implement interventions to meet the needs of our patients and their families. The MSW Social Worker will provide psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, supportive counseling, discharge planning, and advocacy services. The successful candidate will serve as an advocate for our patients and their families and help them navigate the health care system.Required Qualifications:• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.• Licensed in the state of Missouri as an MSW Social Worker or eligible for licensure.• Minimum of two years of experience in a medical setting.• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and health care systems.• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite, electronic medical records, and social media.

Responsibilities:

  8. Maintain proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite, electronic medical records, and social media.
  9. Abide by state regulations regarding licensure as an MSW Social Worker.
