- Perform MRI scans on patients in the operating room setting, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring high-quality imaging results.
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any malfunctions.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate imaging protocol for each patient.
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Monitor patients during scans and provide necessary support and comfort measures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and scan results.
- Follow all hospital and department policies and procedures, including infection control protocols.
- Keep abreast of new developments and advancements in MRI technology and techniques.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with maintaining accreditation standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience.
- Train and mentor new MRI Technologists and students.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate communication of scan results.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Actively participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain professional development and continuing education to stay current in the field of MRI technology.

- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager or supervisor.
Certified Mri Technologist: Applicants For This Position Must Be Certified By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Magnetic Resonance Imaging (Mri).
Operating Room Experience: Bjc Healthcare Is Seeking Candidates Who Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Mri Technologist In An Operating Room Setting.
Knowledge Of Mri Equipment And Techniques: The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of Mri Equipment, Including Their Operation And Maintenance, As Well As A Strong Understanding Of Mri Imaging Techniques.
Strong Attention To Detail: As An Mri Technologist In The Operating Room, It Is Crucial To Have A Keen Attention To Detail To Ensure Accurate And High-Quality Imaging For Surgeons And Patients.
